The team’s build season begins in January, when students put their skills to the test. They then have 6 weeks to design, build, and program a robot. Their work schedule will be grueling, typically devoting 5 evenings a week, as well as Saturdays, to their task.

All of their hard work will pay off during competition season, though. Their goal this year is to not only qualify for the State Championship but to also earn an invitation to the World competition.

Since 2013, The Iron Giants have gone to the State competition twice This we compete against 508 different teams, only top 160 attend state (30%)

Last year we won three special recognition awards:

The Industrial Safety Award

The Innovative design award

Judges Award for Robust Engineering process
